Together with the Indian Cultural Relations Council on Friday, June 12, the Ministry of AYUSH announced a unique international video blog competition called ‘My Life My Yoga’ as this year’s International Yoga Day will be held virtually in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The content began June 1 and videos can be submitted until June 15. The winners are due to be announced before June 21. The selected videos will be posted by the government on different social media platforms from around the world.
“They can post the video in any language,” said Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, secretary of the AYUSH Ministry, speaking during a press conference.

This year’s theme will be ‘Home Yoga and Family Yoga,’ officials said, allowing people to watch the day at home with family members on June 21 at 7 am.
On May 31 Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the ‘My Life My Yoga’ video blogging competition. The contest is to take place in two segments. The first is the international video blogging contest, in which the winners will be chosen within a country. This will be followed by global award winners, selected from winners from various countries.
For the Indian contestants, prizes worth Rs 1 lakh, 50,000 and 25,000 will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd rankings in each of the categories, while cash prizes worth $2,500, $1,500 and $1,000 will be awarded to the international winners, along with trophy and certificate to the first, second and third rankings.
